Independent Music Awards Adds Concert Photography Category
The Independent Music Awards (IMAs) – an international program that promotes independent artists, labels and releases to more than 12 Million music fans and industry has added a Concert Photography category to an already broad spectrum of design and music honors that span genres from Heavy Metal to Gospel.
With the new Concert Photo Category, the IMAs will honor those valiant photographers who risk life and limb in the pit enduring the rigors of capturing a live Indie performance, where avoiding flying objects and flailing bodies are often occupational hazards. The IMA Concert Photography category is open to all photographs of a live performance by an Independent musician or band taken between July 31 2007 and August 1 2008.
Snoop Dogg supports the IMAs- he was a judge last year!
Deadline for the upcoming Independent Music Awards is August 1, 2008.
