Natasha Bedingfield and Solange Knowles Ring in Cosmo's First-Ever StarLaunch Female Rock Star

Last week at Terminal 5 in NYC, Cosmo Girl named Mieka Pauley Winner of First-Ever StarLaunch Search for the Next Fun Fearless Female Rock Star. Mieka played in a live battle-of-the-bands American-Idol-style performance and won against her competition the trio of Fortune 457 and solo artist Alexa Wilkinson. On The Verge was there for an exclusive interview with Mieka who will be spending her $10K prize money on recording and touring. Humbled and excited, Mieka joked about where she could cash her life-sized first place check. All three finalists were excited to be opening for Solange Knowles and Natasha Bedingfield.
